Location
At a boxing event in Bruges/BelgiumTime
Early evening.Lighting
As you can imagine, the use of a flash is forbidden and would be unrespectull. The lighting used here is LED light.Equipment
I used a Fuji mirrorless camera and my simple but effective 18-55mm lens.Inspiration
I was asked to document this boxing event. At first I was not realy interested to do this as I 'm not into aggresion, I 'm more of a romantic guy... But in the end I decided I had to do this for the experiance, and I must say I did enjoy the exitement of the whole evening. Most of the time I was kneeled on the floor, taking pics realy low pov, waiting for a good composition and atmosphere.Editing
I did crop and straighten the image. The original image was in color and I decided to convert my capture into B&W with my favorite program Lightroom. In my camera bag
For this event I used different types of Fujinon lenses. Ranging from the wide 10-24mm, the rasor sharp 23mm and my 50-140mm. I tend to use two bodies, this means I don't have to change lenses all the time.Feedback
It's worth waiting for a interesting composition. Getting a facial expression is a bonus. It's worth experimenting with different in camera settings. I found that one has to find a sweet spot of image sharpness and movement blur.
