I took this photo in Lilooet BC on my way to Pemberton BC Canada, it was by accident, because during our 11 hour drive from Fort st john we drove into a snow storm and after 10 hours of driving the overpass was closed due to the avalanche danger and it was midnight. So we spent the night in the truck and the following afternoon before the overpass opened I was lucky to get this photoTime
It was around 4 pmLighting
The light was amazing and I was keeping an eye for the clouds travelling between the mountains to capture them in the right moment when the sun was right at the edge of the mountainEquipment
I used my Nikon D 7200 handheld with my sigma 10-20 mm lens, this lens was important due to having the widest angle possible to be able to capture the mountainsInspiration
What inspired me was the beautiful mountains covered with snow from the snow storm the day before and the way the clouds were moving between the mountains and the light and the sunset. The extra snow really added to the photoEditing
I used lightroom to bring out the colours a little and beside that very little post processingIn my camera bag
Nikon d 7200, nikon 55-300 mm, sigma 10-20 mm, sigma 17-70 mm, sigma 150-600 mm, Hoyad nd filter 10 stop, hoya polarizerFeedback
Its all about the composition and make sure you either get a sunset or sunrise in the mountains and its always better when there are more snow on the mountain it really ads to the picture
