Location
This photo was taken in the NYC subway one cold January day.Time
Inside only using the light available which wasn’t the greatest but the couple captured my attention.Lighting
This is a composite of two photos. One of the couple and one of the moving train.Equipment
I handheld my Nikon as steady as possible to capture the couple. Reset my aperture to “catch” the train.Inspiration
Love makes the world stand still even though life continues to move all around it.Editing
I used photoshop to compose two photos. I began using photoshop with version 1.2 and have continued with it, although I have dabbled in Lightroom. In my camera bag
Lens. My 50mm, macro 100mm and my wide angle 18-200. Filters. Extra cards and battery.Feedback
It’s okay to compose two photo to tell the story. Photography is storytelling and even in fiction lies the truth. If you start with great photos and know what you want, editing is just another tool to relay the story. Sharpen both skills and think outside the camera bag.
