Product photographers, I'm asking for your help. I want to learn to photograph jewelry. This is my newest attempt based on the little feedback I have been given. Please help me improve. I welcome any constructive criticism. Thank you in advance.
This is a jasper and sterling silver pendant measuring 1.5 inches long and 0.75 inch wide. I am using supplemental permanent lights on either side of the pendant and not lighting directly pointing at the piece.
My research tells me that Jasper has been valued and utilized, since ancient times, for its strong healing and grounding powers. Almost every ancient civilization harnessed and utilized the jasper healing properties in some way. Worn by shamans, priests and kings, this healing gemstone was considered sacred and a powerful protection aid. The Ancient Egyptians valued the jasper meaning, using jaspers in their talismans, ritual vessels and jewelry. They carved amulets of Jasper with symbols and descriptions, and then buried them with their mummified remains, as they believed this stone would provide safe passageway to the after life
