Very beautiful picture.. A pity the butterfly is hided.. But I know it's not always easy to make a picture from them. I'm always happy if a specimen is taking a sun bad or who is very thirsty....

Location
This picture was taken during a freeclimb session on a small terrace between 2 great limestone formations, in the south side of Gran Sasso Massif - Central Italy.Time
The shot was taken on a very nice summer morning.Lighting
The light was not so intense but in the right position and clear sky I had the opportunity to freeze this little bug in the moment. The angle however gives a great balance between shadows and the colorful wings and bokehs in the background.Equipment
I used a Nikon P520 Coolpix and nothing more!Inspiration
I was taking a moment of relax after 3 hours of climbing and trying to chase a nice chamoix male up the steep cliff.. when I saw this wonderful butterfly flying around my spot. I was really captured by its iridescence!Editing
this is a cropped version of the original, editing the contrast and rebalancing highlights as long as the sharpness. In my camera bag
As always when I move into wilderness, I take with me my camera and a tripod and all the necessary to face adverse climatic conditions. I like to go lightweight, so no unnecessary stuff and lot of willingness to go where there is no signed paths to get lost in yourself and nature in complete safety.Feedback
We are not used to go out just to take a picture or two to share with the View Bug community or with friends.. The most important part is to go out there to have great experiences! NO matter if you go out in the streets or getting lost in the wilderness, the most profitable photography is the one taken with mind and feelings related to moment you are experiencing. There is always a difference between a tecnically perfect shot and a perfect moment captured in a shot. That is our philosophy and of course that is the main purpose when we go out there with a digital camera!
