Perfect lead-in subject and love the infinity point and that clear looking sky!

I was there to take some dusk pictures but the only cloudy formations were exactly in front of the sunset!I had to change a bit my plans!

Every single thing about this is perfect. That shine on the water and the faded wood combined with those harsh blacks is amazing.

I'm a fan of the leading lines they draw the viewer's eye right into the image. Nicely done!

Location
This is a nice view of the Massaciuccoli Marsh L.I.P.U. reserve for the conservation of migratory birds near Pisa in Italy. All the boardwalks were a part of a complex fishing barns converted to birdwatching facilities completely immersed in the lush grasses and low water systems of the marsh. A really nice place only 15 minutes away from the city, perfect to go relax yourself after a long day at work!Time
This was taken in late afternoon, once the sun was starting to set in spring time.Lighting
The light was the most difficult part, with a really low and diffused component caused by the sunset covered by distant clouds. I had to make a double exposition to let the sky display properly.Equipment
I used a Canon SX60 Powershot with a Tripod to gain an higher more stable point of view.Inspiration
I was about to turn back to my car when I figured out the effect.. unpacked again everything and menaged to take the shot. It was definitely worth it!Editing
The picture is a merged version of 2 different expositions, it was needed to let the information come out both from the boardwalk and the sky. Another nice thing is a little exposition and sharpness regulation to gradually mix the two shots. In my camera bag
As always when I move into wilderness, I take with me my camera and a tripod and all the necessary to face adverse climatic conditions. I like to go lightweight, so no unnecessary stuff and lot of willingness to go where there is no signed paths to get lost in yourself and nature in complete safety.Feedback
I usually don't plan a shot, I always found it more rewarding seize the moment and give to the public the unexpected. My advise is to have always with you your camera, even if you are not going out exactly for a photographic session. You never know what the case reserves to you.. but these are just my two cents! You may do whatever you want with your camera, just remember that you are out there to have an experience first, the picture is just a nice reminder of it :)
