In honor of my mother, who taught me to see and enjoy the fleeting moments of beauty around me before they are gone. She is in my heart forever, as are so many beautiful moments I have captured in my life.
"Do you also hurry, half-dressed and barefoot, into the garden,
and softly,
and exclaiming of their dearness,
fill your arms with the white and pink flowers,
with their honeyed heaviness, their lush trembling,
their eagerness
to be wild and perfect for a moment, before they are
nothing, forever?" - from poem Peonies by Mary Oliver

What a lovely tribute to your Mom, Kathy. I know how much you must miss her. I love the words to the poem.....she is safe, tucked away in a spot no storm in life can ever reach her again. Safe Harbour.
