"Great minds think alike"
I was at the zoo with my son one day. Spending some quality time with son. When my son ask me what is that big ape thinking about dad? I said ! What Ape? He said turn around and look at him. The ape is staring you down! I had my nikon camera and took a picture of a life time.

The intensity in the eyes. Was he contemplating his next move in rock- paper-scissors-lizard-Spock with Sheldon Cooper?? Awesome image!

Beautiful, deep in thought, I agree with the other comments it reminds us of Auguste Rodins 'the thinker' brilliant shot.

The intense look right into our eyes from the Gorillas eyes is really cool! I also like that he has almost a thinking face on!

Location
At the Houston Zoo, Houston TexasTime
It was about 11am and the temperature was 95 degree.Lighting
It was a cloudy day. The lighting was off and on. Many clouds up high covering the sun.Equipment
I was using a Nikon P900 point and shoot camera. I use it as my vacation camera for the week.Inspiration
I was at the zoo with my family taking pictures of the animals and having a great time. Spending some quality with my son. When my son told me hey dad the zoo keepers are feeding the gorilla! Let's go to that area! When got there the zoo keeper did ask son if wanted to feed the gorillas! My son was ecstatic! He threw the banana and hit the gorilla in the back. The name of the gorilla was Zuri! a 400 pd silverback. When my the son the gorilla! It turn around and he was not happy! He was staring me down like he wanted shake me down. At that moment the he moved this right hand and fist to chin. I wipe out my Nikon camera and took a picture of a lifetime! What a Moment!Editing
I did work with Lightroom and photoshop on some post-processing.In my camera bag
I normally use my canon 7DII or my Canon 5ds in my bag. Also I carry the Sony RX10iv and what a great camera it is! I use it as one of my bridge cameras. Lenes I have canon zoom ultrasonic EF 70-200mm- 2.8 Lis use, tamron 70-200mm lens, and the canon Ef-s 10-18mm.Feedback
I received my first camera from from parents when graduated from High school in 1979. It was a Canon ae-1 and I still have the camera. My advice to novice and camera enthusiast. Always have a camera by your side being if its a camera phone or a pocket camera. You never know when the unexpected will hit and when it hits! You will take the picture and never let it go! I call it ! " The special capture of a lifetime!"
