Location
in Land O' Lakes, Florida outside on an old wooden table.Time
late afternoonLighting
i was outdoors in the shade and using natural light.Equipment
Nikon D5200 18-55mm. Handheld and no flash or other equipment though I may have had a polarizing filter on that day.Inspiration
The outgoing personality and expressive faces of the Cuban treefrogs. There were three, and I couldn't pass that up, but that one on the left wouldn't cooperate at all... unusually shy. That middle one though made up for it; really hammed it up for the camera!Editing
While Cuban treefrog's can vary greatly in color, these three all had similar hues, and I wanted to draw the three of them together in the photo. I added a few different layer fills to make their colors blend together more, and then enhanced the contrast a bit to bring back detail lost/softened with the layer fill.In my camera bag
I go basic and as lightweight as possible as I'm usually hiking when I photograph, so I only bring what I think I'll use that day, and the usual extra battery, sd cards, and a lens pen or cloth.Feedback
I always want to be eye level with frogs and other little things, even if it means laying or squatting in the dirt. These are, in my opinion, the easiest frog to photograph in Florida.
