These birds are my favorite bird. One reason is they are the Bird of the Untied States - they represent our freedom the other is they are so magnificent. This is an excellent shot. Even though he can't fly he still exudes power. This is an excellent shot

I love to watch the Bald Eagles. There are two injured eagles in this enclosure which can't fly. The viewing area is positioned so that you can see the eagles at eye level. They may not be able to fly, but they still have quite the personality. They seem to enjoy calling attention to themselves with their shrill calls when another bird flies by. That's exactly what this one was doing. I wanted to show people what a majestic bird this really is and a glimpse into the personality of a Bald Eagle.Editing
A bit in Lightroom. Mostly just adding a bit of contrast and clarity to the RAW image. In my camera bag
I tend to carry a lens for every occasion in my bag. When I go out shooting, I want to be ready for any situation.Feedback
Right time, right place. Just show up and quietly observe the eagle through your lens. Be ready to capture their many expressions and personality. Take many images. You can always delete after.
