For a challenge in a group I'm in, we had to deal with something we are afraid of. I have never tried refraction, although it appeals to me. This was the first attempt I made usinga wine glass and colored with red food coloring, placed in front of a sheet of diagonal lines.
I then photographed it with my 100mm macro lens.
