Location
This was taken in my backyard last spring when a pair of bluebirds visited the feeders over a two week period.Time
AfternoonLighting
Natural light but the afternoon light was softened by being filtered through the trees.Equipment
Hand-held Canon 6D with a Canon 4-5.6 IS 70-300 lens.I had been concentrating on the blue =birdsInspiration
I had been concentrating on the bluebirds knowing that they would soon be nesting in another area. I got as many many individual images as they would allow during this time.Editing
Post processing was done on On1 2021 RAW. Slight adjustment of exposure, contrast and sharpening. In my camera bag
Primary camera is Canon 6D but have also been using a Canon M6 Mark II recently. My goto lens for most situations is a Canon 24-105mm lens. I also use a Canon 70-200 f/2.8L IS III USM de[ending on the sho ting situation.Feedback
Just be ready to take the shot. Birds in particular are flighty (pardon the pun) so one needs to be patient and have the equipment ready to go and at hand.
