Amazing creativity! I can't help but imagine what those ducks did to receive that punishment?

They spent more time playing in the pond than they did in the kitchen. Otherwise, they would have known it wasn't a slide!!!

I took this photo sitting on my living room floor. I sat in front of my light box, which was also on the floor.Time
Late in the evening after a long day at work.Lighting
I simply used the overhead lights in the light box.Equipment
I used a Canon 2000D. I used a 35mm fixed lens. Since my camera has a cropped sensor, the 35mm lens basically gives me the equivalent of a nifty-fifty. It was shot on manual mode at 1/80, using f/5.6 to give it a bit of a shallow DOF. ISO was 800. I liked the LED lighting in the light box, so I didn’t use a flash. Since the light box and I were on the floor, I had to use a short tripod. I used a Neewer 20” compact desktop tripod with a ball head, along with a wired remote trigger.Inspiration
I saw a photo of somebody using a shredder for another photo. I started thinking about what I could do with some of the things I had laying around the house. I had some rubber ducks, which is when the idea was born. I ended up cutting the ducks so it appeared they were getting smaller as they were shredded. I wanted an audience, so I put the ducks around the shredder. It looked too plain, so I added a couple rubber frogs and a couple rubber crabs. That came out looking too crowded, so I eventually settled on one frog. I initially tried to shred the ducks, but they were too hard. I ended up slicing them with a knife, which gave me the curled look, similar to shredded cheese.Editing
The photo was cropped. I adjusted the exposure, texture and contrast. I added some saturation. I think I had to clone out about 2,634 cat and dog hairs; or at least it felt like that many. I’m not sure why or how, but my backgrounds seem to attract anything and everything that will show up in a photo. In my camera bag
Well, for starters, I carry my camera. I’ve found that my photography comes out much, much better when I have a camera. I carry a 35mm prime lens, and a 18-55mm kit lens. I have a Yongnuo speedlite, with an Altura diffuser. I carry a white balance card, which comes in handy during the Wyoming winters. I round it all out with extra SD cards and batteries, and a ND filter. Finally, I carry a couple bags of peanut M&M’s. Because everything is better with chocolate, and my kids don’t look in my camera bag, so they don’t all mysteriously disappear before I have any.Feedback
I like to have fun with photography. Some of my favorite photos I’ve taken are fun, quirky pictures, that I hope will make people smile when they see them. My advice would be to use your imagination, be creative, and don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone. Take photos that you enjoy, and it will show in your final product. If you enjoy the process and end result, others will too. I’ve only been taking photos for about six months. As such, I can’t compare my photographs with the photographs taken by the pros. I can just compare them to photos I took the month before. If I see improvement, I know I’m on the right path.
