This photo was taken along the Adriatic coast in Italy, in the Emilia Romagna region.Time
I think it was a little before lunch, there was a freezing wind and it felt like it was raining at any moment. A gloomy day!Lighting
There were constant changes of light, caused by the clouds, but I did not use external lights, only the natural light.Equipment
This was shot on a Canon 7D, with a 15-85mm lens. No other equipment was involved.Inspiration
I was trying to get the idea of the end of the summer bathing season (characterized by sun, sea, tourism) and as soon as I saw that umbrella and that sunbed piled up, I immediately thought I had found what I was looking for.Editing
I didn't need to work a lot in post-production the shot in raw, I just adjusted the sharpness, levels and curves; and then I transformed it to BW using a plug-in with a few minor tweaks and adding the frame to give a vintage touch.In my camera bag
Of course It depends on what I have to go to photograph; here, outdoor, I was looking for an idea, so I didn't know exactly what I was going to photograph…in these cases in my bag a versatile lens like the canon 15-85 is never missing.Feedback
When you are outdoor and trying to express an idea with a photograph, try to clear your mind and focus on the concept you want to express; the "right" photo will appear before your eyes.
