This photo was taken in a private garden during a walk.Time
It could have been 2 pm, on a sunny day of march.Lighting
I used natural light. The sun was high almost perpendicular, I didn’t use the flash and I tried not to create shadows on the flower with my body.Equipment
This was shot on a canon 7d with a 50mm f/1.8 lens. No other equipment was involved.Inspiration
It was immediately after lunch, I was out of town for work, I was walking and I was attracted by the colors of the flowers in a gaden, I didn’t have a tripod but I decided to shoot anyway.Editing
I made some small corrections in raw (for example for white balance, luminosity), then I proceeded in jpeg with level masks, to create blur at the edge of the flower and to accentuate sharpness in the center.In my camera bag
Of course It depends on what I have to go to photograph; but, even if I'm not out to photograph, outdoor in my bag I never miss a generic lens, especially when I'm away from home without having a precise photographic goal. And if I have space problems while traveling, I bring always the canon 50mm lens with me.Feedback
Never leave the house without the camera and photograph everything that attracts your attention in shape, color, etc. During post-processing you let yourself be guided by your creativity. That’s all, for this shot.
