Location
The photo was taken in the home of a new young mother in Bologna (Italy). This shoot was a new lesson for me because I was not used to photographing birth.Time
It was afternoon; after taking some photographs to study the new environment and the light, that gesture caught my attention.Lighting
I couldn't use the flash to not hit the boy's eyes, so I only used the window light and the chandelier light.Equipment
This was shot on a Canon 7D with a 50mm f/2.8 lens. No other equipment was involved.Inspiration
I was doing a photo shoot on the newborn; the feeding time had come and I took a break. When I saw those intertwined hands my heart jumped and I immediately understood that that was what I wanted to convey with my shot; I grabbed the camera and captured the gesture, so that image was born.Editing
I corrected the white balance, luminosity, bokeh background and noise reduction a little.In my camera bag
Of course It depends on what I have to go to photograph; indoors like a house (where I took this photo) in my bag my favorite kit is the 50mm f/2,8 lens and the 100mm L lens. I like bokeh of these lens.Feedback
Do not focus on the particular, but try to look around, because there are always other ways to express in the shot what we want and often what we think is the best way is not, but what we are looking for is still nearby. And above all: what affects us in the heart often works.
