I drove 2 hours to get to this abandoned pier and, guessed what , not a shred of a cloud in the horizon ... again :) fortunately there was this fog-dust that helped to disperse the sunlight and made things a bit easier !
This is a single frame capture with the Nikon D800 and Nikon 14-24mm f-2.8 plus Nisi 3 stop ND grad and Nisi 10 stop. Exposure was 60 seconds , f-8 , ISO 100 . Contrast was reduced by the method mentioned in a previous upload , Highlights were enhanced with a "bright" luminosity mask set as a selection to a saturation adjustment layer and a subtle vignette was added. Had to remove a persistent guy moving around at the very end of the pier , along with a very small hanging metal ladder in post.
