"Sea caves" or “Palatia”, as they are called , is a rocky formation in Ayia Napas cape Greco where caves are deep passages in the cliffs , created by the waves , and are mostly accessible from the sea. The geology of the sea caves is one of the determinant factors of Cavo Greco, which has been declared a protected area.
Some go as deep as 80 metres into the rock and at low tide during calm seas it is possible to walk or swim into many of them.
The sea surrounding the caves is crystal clear although rocky. Many people visit this stretch of coast around Cape Greco to snorkel or dive and local people often fish here during the early hours of the morning.
Sunsets are spectacular here but it did not happen during my visit. I also had to wipe the front filter every few minutes from sea spray in order to take a photo !! I will visit this place again , though , hopping for a better sky !

For the technically minded :)

Nikon D800 on bulb , Nikkor 14-24 f-2.8 , Exposure 118,0 sec; f-13; ISO 100 , Nisi filter holder , 10 stop Nisi ND + 3 stop soft grad ND.
a single RAW (NEF) file , opened in camera raw , highlights lowered , shadows lifted , a darkening gradient added to the sky ( I really miss my 3 stop reverse ND grad that I broke some days ago) , passed to Photoshop , a dodge and burn layer was added to manually add a vignette and darken the sky a bit more.
