While in my adopted home state of Pennsylvania, driving on back roads I found a Field of Flags and a Beautiful Barn. I am very patriotic and love America and our Flag.Time
I know I had taken this series of shots during the afternoon but not sure of the time. I took quite a few and posted my favorites.Lighting
It was a sunny day, but the skies could have been bluer. It was bright enough however to capture everything including some shadows with this all natural daylight.Equipment
With me, as always, I had my Nikon D7100 camera, my 18-140mm lens and my 55-300mm lens. I used mainly my 18-140mm lens.Inspiration
I see this farm often, even just the farm is very appealing to me. When I had seen the field of flags I had to go home, grab my camera bag, and drive back. As stated earlier, I love America and I love our Flag.Editing
If I remember correctly, I did do some minor cropping, and on one shot in the series I changed it to grayscale. That's about it! The farm and the Flags contain their own beauty. In my camera bag
My Nikon D7100 camera, my 18-140mm lens and my 55-300mm lens. Two batteries, the charger and a/c cord, and the usb cable for computer hook-up. I rarely use a tripod, I hand hold, sometimes finding a fencepost or something to rest my arm(s) on. I do have a separate flash for my camera but mainly us the one with the camera.Feedback
If you like something that you see. Something that says "this is beautiful to me" or shows how you feel. The passion for something you see that's a part of you, that you feel strong about, or is a homey feeling, somewhat comforting, then capture it. Unlike the film days when every shot you had to wait frond pay for, with digital you can take many shots with all kinds of angles and settings. Keep what you like and delete what you don't. One tip is to wait to see it on a good computer or tablet screen, not just the screen on the camera. You may be pleasantly surprised to see how great, or not, it is on a larger screen.
