Location
This photo was taken in my back garden in Redditch, UK, during the lock down of the Covid 19 Pandemic.Time
I remember on this day I was having quite a bad day, so I turned to my camera and took it to my back garden to sit with the wind blowing and nature around me - this helps my positiveness about a bad situation. This Robin turned up in front of me and seemed to stay and pose for this photograph. This was taken at 10.15am on 20th April 2020.Lighting
Both the Robin and I were in the shade as the sun hadn't reached the garden fully, my mood at the time was quite low, but searching for the light, in the background of the photo you can see the sunlight creeping in, which I liken to myself searching for the light in a bad day.Equipment
This was shot on a Canon PowerShot SX540 HS. No other equipment.Inspiration
Nature inspired me. Just like the world inspires me.Editing
I did some post-processing on this photo where I lightened the shaded area and corrected the white balance for the photo. I cropped some of the image too. I also sharpened the image. In my camera bag
I like to be prepared so I have my Canon PowerShot SX540 HS, Canon 50mm prime lens, Canon EOS 200d with kit lens - 18-135mm and my Yongnuo speedlite. Spare strap, spare batteries, lens cleaner and brush and a rainproof camera cover. I am yet to extend my equipment but I always wish to carry a telephoto lens and a macro lens with me too.Feedback
Patience. Wait and view your surroundings. Everything happens for a reason and at just the right time.
