Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken on a bridge over a stream in my hometown Redditch UK.

Time

This was taken in the late afternoon, as the sun was on its way down.

Lighting

I wanted the lighting to be on the bridge, so I had to wait for the natural lighting to be where I needed it to get this photo.

Equipment

I used my Canon EOS 200D, and my 18-135mm kit lens for this photo.

Inspiration

I wanted to capture the mood and emotion of a love that was unwanted. So as a self taught photographer, I tried to find ways to capture this emotion.

Editing

Post processing involved turning the image, black and white, and from the original image cropping the rose (still in colour) then aligning it up with the black and white photo.

In my camera bag

I usually have my Canon EOS 200D, my 18-135mm kit lens, 50mm prime lens, a tripod, a yongnuo speedlite spare memory cards and spare batteries.

Feedback

Envision the scene you want to capture, have patience and keep trying until you get your perfect photo.
