After yesterday's quite technical, elaborate and tedious set up for refraction photography and also taking note that not everyone has the privilege to work with 2 sets of speedlites, I had came out with an easier and more convenient approach today.
All that's needed is a TV (the bigger the better) preferably with USB-chromecast capability, clear glass pane with a black colored board below it, a few DIY created background (to be displayed in the screen), glasses, camera and tripod (no speedlites required)
I created various backdrops via Photoshop and saved it as Jpegs. Then I chrome cast the images from my laptop to the TV screen.
Having a TV-display screen displaying the backdrops opens up endless possibilities and providing more flexibility in changing as many backdrops as you like and all to your personal preference.
And the outcome of the photos are way sharper, higher in contrast and the colors are super vibrant.
Images shot with ; D750 paired with 24-70mm lens mounted on tripod, ISO400, 1-20secs, f-9.0 and remote shutter release. Yup and no speedlites required.
