Location
This photo was taken at Kalampaka, Greece. The views from the monasteries are stunning, overlooking at those unique rock formations.Time
It was capture during sunrise, when the light starts to hit the peaks of the rocks.Lighting
Early in the morning the light is still soft and the direction of the light is such that hits the rocks. Of course, during sunset is also a great time to get some beautiful photos from that spot.Equipment
I used a Nikon D750 and my Tamron 15-30 f/2.8 lens.Inspiration
The location itself is very inspiring, as the views are absolutely stunning. Adding a person in the picture made sense in order to show the scale of the landscape, as well as allow the viewer to get the feeling of being there and enjoying the view.Editing
My main tools for post processing are Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop. I preferred here to highlight the brown / golden tones. In my camera bag
My usual equipment is my Nikon D750, three lenses (15-30mm, 50mm and 80-200 mm) , ND / gradient filters and my KF Concept carbon fiber tripod.Feedback
My advice would be to spend some time exploring the place in order to find the best angles. Light is very important, that is why I try to shoot during the golden hours (sunrise and sunset) , when the light is soft and the sky is colorful, if there are any clouds. Adding a person or another object in the foreground gives more depth to the image, especially when one is using a wide angle lens.
