DAY 2 - LONESOME TREE UNDER STAR TRAILS

Lonesome tree under star trails

As much as I love capturing the Milky Way by itself as well as the meteor shower along with it, creating star trails is always fun and exciting although it demands a lot of patience.

Well, if you look at my feed, I am sure that you already know that. I attempt at it at every chance I get. Unless Mother Nature doesn’t cooperate.

I was super excited about the opportunity that night. The openness offered a clear view of the entire sky above the horizon, which was perfect for capturing the Milky Way by itself (please refer to the last two posts). And the lonesome tree was certainly a focal point under the thousands of little streaks that shot up across the heavenly body as they traverse diagonally.

The color gradation that occurs due to the fact that it’s started early and then it gets quite dark by the time when the Milky Way reaches the opposite side of the frame. And the clump of trails of the galactic core leaves behind is always fascinating to look at. As if the bursting force of the Big Bang were captured.

My attempt to throw in a bit of colors in the foreground resulted in the rocks and the trunk of the lonesome tree painted red. And I liked the fact that it was subtle.
