Location
This photo was taken on a trip to explore some of the western states in the US. I was standing on a hill overlooking a valley in the state of Arizona and my goal was to get some photos of the gorgeous red rock mountains and the Colorado River below. My husband said "look down" and then I spotted this guy. I don't like lizards or snakes but I just had to get a shot of him. It was almost like he was "posing" for me!Time
It was mid-afternoon and we had just left an area with snow so I was happy to see all the sunshine on the red rock mountains and this little guy.Lighting
Just good old fashioned sunshineEquipment
I used a Canon Rebel T6Inspiration
My husband told me to "look down" because I was just about to step on the lizard.Editing
No fancy post-processing other than cropping itIn my camera bag
I'm fairly new to photography so I don't really carry much in my camera bag other than the 18-55mm and a 75-300mm lenses and a cleaning kit.Feedback
Since I'm a novice photographer, I don't really have any advice. Sometimes I think it just being in the right place at the right time. Of course a gorgeous sunny day helps as well. There is so much beauty in the US just ready for us to capture.
