It is winter in Anchorage. The last few days there has been intense frost, building up about a half inch in thickness. This morning a moose came looking for food, pawing the snow around the edges of the house where its depth was least searching for the dried out stems of flowers when not chewing on willow, lilac and other bushes. After some time bedded down.which is when I took this photo.
