I shot this photo in my family room at home.

This was shot on a fall morning.

Lighting

Our cat, Bella, was watching birds in our backyard. As soon as she sat in this spot I noticed the great light coming in from the patio door contrasting with the dark family room.

Equipment

I shot this with my old Nikon D5300.

Inspiration

I got lucky with this shot. I was eating breakfast and just happened to have my camera on the table when Bella moved to this spot to "strike a pose." :-)

Editing

The original color version was fine but as soon as I converted it to b&w it elevated the mood of this photo. Edited in Lightroom.

Nikon D750, Tamron 24-70mm G2 lens, Nikon 20mm prime, filters, tripod.
