Our friends Rich and Judy were given this classic 1947 one owner BellWood Trailer Coach that was built in Aloha Oregon. They then gave it to us. Rich got new tires and reworked the axle and bearings and what ever else that was needed around the wheels and then wired new brake and tail lights so he could drag it over to Chiloquin from their house in Merlin Oregon. Now comes the restoration. Ann has already been stripping and refinishing the cabinet doors and drawers and is now working on the inside. The inside has some water damage around the sky lite and windows so there is some work there also. I will also need to test the 120 wiring and gas connection for the stove, oven and water heater. It will take some time. The plan is to restore the trailer, including new exterior paint to match the existing colors and then continue to explore the wonderful state of Oregon.

Love this trailer. Very cool. It’s worth a few good dollars too. How about some pics of the restoration as you go

IreneNo Thanks for your comment. I am open to the idea of gathering images as I proceed with the restoration. As of now I have been removing the 1/4 inch ceiling and wall paneling to expose the water damage around the windows and have access to the original electrical wiring and propane supply lines which I will replace. This will also allow me to repair or replace the original ceiling and wall framing. I am saving all the wood pieces and paneling I remove so as to use them as patterns for when I reconstruct the interior after the repair. Thanks for your interest! Russell
