There are many species of brightly golden colored weavers bird in East Africa. This one is either a Bertrum's weaver bird or a Black-necked weaver bird (they look very similar). They get their name from weaving a pendulum shaped nest at the ends of tree limbs as a defense against snakes and other predators.
