Sunrise in the Hot Creek Gorge of the Mammoth Lakes Area. The clouds you see in the picture are steam from the geothermal vents in Hot Creek Gorge. This particular morning it was negative 7 degrees and because of it there was a lot of steam to contend with. I needed to wait between bouts of steam for it to clear up enough to the see the mountain in the distance.
