My 2nd attempt at Mt Whitney. The first time I tried it was late in the season and the conditions worsened to the point that we decided to call it a day at 12,000 feet at Trail Camp. This time the conditions were great. This is Trail Crest at around 13,700 feet. At this point you can see Sequoia National Park on the left and Inyo National Forest on the right, but we are not to the top yet. Its another 2.8 miles and 700 more feet of elevation to get to the top at 14,505 feet. What a great trip. I had just got my camera. I can't wait to go back again.
