Location
I took this photo on the north end of Elkhorn Slough south of Watsonville Ca.Time
I usually shoot at sunrise at Elkhorn Slough and that is what I did on this dayLighting
it was sunrise light reflecting off a high tide in the slough --usually at low tide one can see plants and mud by the postsEquipment
no tripod but this photo was shot with a full frame Canon 6, 100-600 Tamron lens--I now am shooting with a Fuji-t4 and a 100-400 with a 1.4 extenderInspiration
the curve of the posts and the sunrise light on the water plus I like this location where I have shot 100's of photos of herons, shore birds and landscapesEditing
I always use Lightroom and do some clarity, dehazing and maybe some shadow and highlight adjustments--I now use Lightroom classic and photoshopIn my camera bag
now I normally have a fuji x-t4 and three lenses --all Fuji lineup of 50-140 2.8, 18-135, 16mm 1.4--sometimes the 100-400 and the 10-24Feedback
you need to know the area, the potential lighting and go there frequently based on early morning, sunset or when good lighting is available
