There were winds up to 40mph in this blizzard-ridden day on Lake Erie in Southeast Michigan. The light was low and the day nearly done when I drove out of a park at which I had been photographing Tundra Swans on the lake. This scene presented itself and compelled me to photograph it. The colors are not significantly adjusted--it was such a gloomy day! Lake Erie is just barely visible behind the trees. The frozen creek, the bridge to "nowhere" and the isolated trees gave a feel, to me, that was moving and compelling.
