These Craftsmen are repairing the inlaid marble mosaic floor that is one of the most ornate of its kind in Italy. The mosaic covers the whole floor of the Cathedral. This undertaking went on from the 14th to the 16th centuries, and about forty artists made their contribution. Our visit was in September and we were able to visit the Cathedral while the floor was uncovered. Visit if you can!
