The 100 Fountains, Tivoli Italy

Tivoli is a lovely town in central Italy about 30 kilometres east-north-east of Rome, at the falls of the Aniene river where it issues from the Sabine hills. The river water has been redirected to flow into this wonderful and historic garden. I found the different animal faces on the hundred fountains very interesting and is why I gathered this image. The Aristocrats from Rome would spend the hot summer months high in Tivoli where it was much cooler. Visit there if you have the chance.
