My mother was my teacher, mentor and best friend. She was a vibrant, fun, stylish, beautiful woman I thought could do anything. I would describe her as the ultimate con-artist. I swear she could smile her wonderful smile and rob you, and you would thank her for doing so! She often wore a red hat and a black cape she had made - we called it her Zorro cape! She was only 5'2" - a tiny woman - but, to me, she was always the tallest person in the room next to my father. She was as Irish as they come and full of music. I will always miss her but always be so grateful she was mine. She walks beside me every day. Being a mother is the greatest privilege I have ever known, and the hardest job I have ever had. I wish all of you wonderful mothers a day full of celebration and love!
