Stars dancing above magnificent falls
Once night fell, I headed out to Mooney Falls by myself. My original plan had been to climb all the way down to the bottom of the waterfall, but considering how slippery it was while climbing down and up the ladders earlier during day, I figured it could’ve been more dangerous at night. And of course, the story of how James Mooney died came to mind. So, I decided to stay near the cave. From there I was able to see the Andromeda galaxy slowly rising above Mooney Falls. How cool is that! Since I had already captured the northern part of the Milky Way and the Andromeda galaxy over Havasu Falls the night before, I decided to do star trails instead. What a calm night to witness the stars dancing above the magnificent falls.
