When my granddaughter was visiting last summer, she wanted to try feeding the hummingbirds from her hand. It took some patience, and she had a hard time not flinching when the birds flew close... but the smile on her face when this rufous landed on her hand was priceless! There is nothing like the feathery touch of these little feet and the breeze from the hummingbird wings!
