This shot is my timer selfie from the top of Ben A'an (trossachs), it's a short but fairly steep walk which my pregnant wife managed to complete. she was far from impressed by the very strong winds at the top. Hope you enjoy.

Location
Photo was taken from the top of Ben A'an in Scotland.Time
This was shot about an hour before sunset. Ideally i would of waited for sun down but the wind was getting so strong that the camera was shaking.Lighting
The clouds in this scene created soft and consistent lighting. Some may call it dull lighting but i think moody grey skies set a really nice mood.Equipment
Manfrotto tripod, Nikon D750, 14-24mm lens with the wonderpana filter kit.Inspiration
Living in the east of England on very flat land i felt i needed to get up on higher ground to get different perspectives whenever i could on my trip to Scotland. Once i had taken the photo i thought it would look cool if someone was standing on the peak so i set up again, put a 20s timer on and ran to the position.Editing
I added contrast and tried to enhance the moodiness in Lightroom and i removed my wife, my dog and two other tourists from the image in photoshop. In my camera bag
I always have an ND and a Grad when shooting landscape.I feel so limited without them and i highly recommend getting some if you don't already and you are getting into landscape photography.Feedback
Always look at your image before you leave the location and think 'how could i improve this image'. There is nothing worse than getting home then realising you could of made it much better once its too late.
