This shot was no accident getting out of the bed that early is the great sacrifice. ( For me anyway) Ha!

Location
Winnats pass. Peak District. UKTime
I left my hotel at 3:30 am and drove an hour to then walk up a steep hill in the dark to catch sunrise. Worth every second.Lighting
The cloud was quite heavy and I had packed up and started walking back then I see some golden light poking through the cloud so I ran back and quickly set up again.Equipment
I used a nikon D750, nikon 14-24mm lens, manfrotto befree tripod, wanderpana filter system with ND 4 and soft grad.Inspiration
I drove pass the day before in the rain and I had the vision of what I wanted, roughly.Editing
Yes Image stacked to get it all in focus. And played around with it in Lightroom, mainly removing highlights and brightening up the shadows. In my camera bag
I don't leave the house without my 14-24mm lens, it's sharper than a razor blade and is very heavy so you get a good workout carrying. It around too.Feedback
Just be prepared to get up early and go, don't look to much into the weather as it can change so quickly. You've got to be in it to win it. Try and check out the area during the day and plan something. Apologise to your spouse for waking them up at 3am.
