This is a room in Catherine's palace in Pushkin. Catherine I picked the site for a stone country house, but Empress Elizabeth had a more opulent palace biult in 1741 modeled on Versailles. It was enlarged by subsequent rulers especially Cahterine the Great in an extravagant, baroque style.

This was taken with a D200 with 12-24 mm f-4 DX attached at 12 mm. F-5, 1-25s hand held, ISO 400. This image had been originally processed as an HDR image, but I was never really happy with the result, so on 1-17-17, I reprocessed the original NEF without using HDR, but instead used Picture Postcard Workflow in CNX-D and PSCS6 Extended, for a much better result.
