The Heritage Museum is a must see when you visit St. Petersburg Russia. Created by Catherine the Great to house her private art collection, it is stocked full of amazing art that you will see no where else in the world. This shot is hand held and lighted only by the light coming in the windows. I was amazed that for one instant, no tourists were in a hall that the moment before had been crowed. Shot taken with D200 and 12-24 Dx f-4 lens hand held, almost wide open. f-4.5, 1-125, ISO 500, 14mm.
