I think this image illustrates that you don't need a fancy camera to get nice images. This was taken with a 6 MP Olympus 500 UZ. Recently the file was reprocessed in PSCS6 Extended using Dan Margolis's Picture Postcard workflow. Among the images in my gallery, most were taken with 10 or 12 MP DSLR's, or old film Nikon's, but you will find images taken with point and shoot cameras with as little as 2 MP.

Thanks for looking. I really enjoyed my old 500Z as I could stick it in my pocket, but you could not push ISO as you wound up with lots of noise.

We were staying right on the waterfront of Lake Maggiore in a very old hotel that had ceiling-to-floor windows. We were on a tour and therefore rose early each morning around 7 AM to stunning sunrises,Lighting
while each sunrise wase amazing, this one caught my eye because of the different bands of colorEquipment
6 MP Olympus 500 UZ, This was my first digital camera. It was pocketable and had an electronic viewfinder. It took decent pictures as long as you didn't push the ISO above 400.Inspiration
As stated above, it was the impressive bands of color set off from each other that made me want to capture it.Editing
Recently the file was reprocessed in PSCS6 Extended using Dan Margolis's Picture Postcard workflow in Photoshop. Because PPW workflow works in LAB space, it allows you to bring out the best in your colors both in saturation and vibrance and also do things like reduce noise and improve sharpness. In my camera bag
120f/4I am a long way past my little Olympus camera, though I miss its tiny size. I have cycled through film, and digital SLRs and now have a Nikon Z8 mirrorless camera and several Nikon Z lenses 14-30 f/4. 24-120 f/4 105 mm f/2.8 Macro, 70-200 f/2.8, 400 mm f/4.5. I will normally select the lenses I carry depending on what I am shooting, as carrying it all would just be too heavy.Feedback
