Lovely pink water flowers
After catching the sun rising over the forest in the north side of Moraine Lake, I wandered farther down the shore counterclockwise to see what else there to capture. A patch of these lovely pink water flowers caught my eye. Although I noticed that there were a few more patches farther down the shore in a distance, I wanted to include the hills in the background as well as the reflection of them, so I decided to stay here. These flowers were still in the shade, which would help me maintain the details. The trees on the opposite side of the lake were nicely bathed in the sun, with a slight hint of yellow. After a few shots, it was time to head back to the campground to start the fourth day of backpacking the High Sierra Trail (HST).
