Behind The Lens

Location

It was a friends birthday so a last minute catchup was organised....this photo was taken on a walk along the beach down the block from their house...before walking back for cake of course!

Time

It was taken at the very start of golden hour as the sun was sinking to the horizon

Lighting

The sunlight from behind was creating great silhouettes and as the friends were mucking about in the water it just made for some great captures

Equipment

This was shot on my iphone as I hadnt planned to take any photos that afternoon. Its always in my pocket so the majority of my photos are taken with my phone

Inspiration

Just the setting and some close friends having fun.....a rare chill out session that had to go in the memory bank.

Editing

I believe just a quick in phone edit to tweak the blacks and make the colours a tad more vibrant....I like images especially outdoors to remain true to the original colour as much as possible

In my camera bag

Normally? just the iphone and maybe my mini tripod in my handbag. When I actually plan to take photos..My Canon 6D

Feedback

Because my iphones size isnt imposing..I often just sneak it out and take quick snaps without people noticing. I like to capture the moment and if they dont know there is a camera they are often the best most natural shots. Be quick to seize a photo opportunity!
