Thank you! Yeah I met the owners and they let me shoot at night. So much to shoot there I can't wait to go back during teh Milky Way season.

Take heart........... that this is an old movie prop from the movie 3000 Miles to Graceland. They just left it in the Nelson Ghost town. :)

Location
This photo was taken in the Nelson Ghost town. Be aware it's private property so contact the owners before shooting there at night. The plane is an old movie prop from the film 3000 Miles to Graceland.Time
It was 11pm.Lighting
It was very dark but there was some very dim ambient lighting from the tiny town this plane was left in.Equipment
Nikon d750, Nikon 14-24mm f2.8 on a mephoto tripod and a corded remote release.Inspiration
I had seen photos of this plane during the day and based on where it was I knew the milky way would be visible in the background. I think earlier in the season it maybe closer to the plane but I like the milky way placement.Editing
Yes Lightroom and photoshop. This is a 10 photo stack for noise reduction. I adjusted it and brought up the shadows, clarity, saturation and vibrance with other small tweeks. In my camera bag
I carry my Nikon d750, Nikon 14-24mm f2.8, Nikon 50mm f1.4 and Sigma 120-400mm. I have assorted flash lights, head lamps, extra batteries and memory cards. I carry assorted ND and GND filters, cleaning kit and dry bags in case I run into any water. I stuff it all into my Lowpro backpack with my mephoto tripod strapped on the outside.Feedback
Yes if you do a 10 photo stack try and do as short an exposure as you can with the lowest iso possible. This allows less movement in the stars and milky way so when you stack it in Photoshop it aligns easier. Watch for too long and exposure and use the 400 rule. Most of all have fun!
