While you didn't win my Rainforest Challenge, your photo was one of my top five favorites. Congratulations on taking such a great shot, I can't wait to see more from you in the future!

Location
This photo was taken from a window on the 6th floor of a building in Resende, Rio de Janeiro - Brazil, near an elevator door.Time
It was close to sunset time (~17h30).Lighting
I think the picture explains itself about the light... The sun was close to be hided by the mountains, but was behind massive clouds. When a saw the scene, I run to my apartment and got my baby cam with the 18-55mm kit lens cause there is no time to get a bigger camera with the risk to loose that incredible scene.Equipment
A Mirrorless Samsung NX 10 with a 18-55mm lens, using aperture priority at f22 and i put the camera at the window sill (no time for tripod) and the self timer to take the pictures at some underexposure light level compensations.Inspiration
This mountains are an inspiration to me. After i took this foto, named "Golden Rain", I started a research to better understand how it happens, than i wrote the text below: Every summer here in Penedo, Itatiaia - Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, there is a conjunction of natural phenomena that can culminate in this rare and ephemeral spectacle: the golden rain. To the left of this great chain, which belongs to the Serra da Mantiqueira, there is a set of smaller mountains. In a short period of summer, the sun sets in a position that aligns with this mountain corridor, forming a beam of lateral light, which propagates in front of the mountain and inside. With the formation of heavy clouds, if the rain happens in the way of this natural spotlight, we can contemplate this spectacle for a few moments.Editing
Oh yes. This picture was taken using RAW file and needed to be cropped to hide a building at the left side. After this, I used all my skills at that time with Lightroom to give a smooth contrast and emphasize the pastel tonalities. By the way, this picture received an honor mention at our Local MAM (Museum of Modern Art) and to print I created a new version adding a little more contrast. Looking to the new features emerging to improve reveal and post processing along time, i think could be interesting to give a space at every pic here at Viewbug for us to show new versions from the same picture (not a repost, but inside the original post)...In my camera bag
At now I like to go to the forest with two camera bodies (Canon 60D & 77D) with a Canon 50mm f2.5 Compact Macro, a sigma 70-300mm attached and a Canon 10-22mm f3.5 to landscaping shots.Feedback
The question here is to be observant every time you can. Even when we are busy during our day by day tasks, it can happen... "You can mend the wires. You can feed the soul apart. You reach. It can happen to you. It can happen to me. It can happen to everyone eventually." Yes!
