The Mercer Museum in Doylestown, PA is a collection of tools, odds and ends from around the world. Historian and archaeologist Henry Mercer collected these items because he feared that time and advancements in industry and farming would mean that theses tools and other items would be lost forever so, he traveled the world and collected them and put in his museum. The museum was built entirely out of poured concrete. Having seen another museum built of wood in the area lost to fire, he vowed not to let that happen to his own building and made his out of concrete. As you can see, it still stands.
