Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo across the road from home, as I have with may beautiful sunsets.

Time

It was late November 2015 and I took this just as the sun was going down at 6.25pm. The season was summer and nice and warm here in Queensland, Australia.

Lighting

The only light was Mother Nature, the best kind of lighting.

Equipment

I took this with my Nikon D5100 and I'm not sure which lens, but probably the kit lens that came with the camera body.

Inspiration

The inspiration is Mother Nature and the beautiful sunsets she produces.

Editing

As it's 5 years since I took this photo, I had no editing software. This would be straight out of camera.

In my camera bag

Now days I have a new Nikon Coolpix P950 (love this camera). So with this camera I have no need to carry extra lenses. I always carry an extra SD card, and I still need to get another spare battery. I also carry a cleaning cloth, lens hood and of course my phone. When I go on holidays I will take my tripod.

Feedback

The best advice I could give would be have fun. Keep an eye out when the sun is about to set, but be ready before sunset begins. I like to frame the sun if possible with maybe trees, buildings anything that looks good. And clouds if they are there. Enjoy what you do.
