Behind The Lens

Location
At sunrise on Lake Te Anau which is in the southwestern corner of the South Island of New Zealand. The lake covers an area of 344 km, making it the second-largest lake by surface area in New Zealand and the largest in the South Island.

Lighting
Nature's perfect lighting - I was in the right place at the right time!
Equipment
Canon Rebel, hand held....no other equipment.
Inspiration
The breathtaking beauty of the moment and the perfect placement of the plane on the glassy reflective surface of the water.I wanted to preserve it forever and share it with everyone.
Editing
Minimal post processing with Lightroom - mostly just cropping and a little sharpening.
In my camera bag
In this case I just ran out from the hostel with the camera in order to catch a rapidly changing scene.However, I usually have 2 camera bodies, (1 Canon 7D full frame and the other a Canon Rebel XT5i), 10-18mm ultra wide angle, 18-135mm (used the most) 75-300 mm and carrying separate a 100-400mm (for wildlife mostly and sometimes for sports like polo matches,flexible lens hoods, uv and polariser filters, extra batteries, extra sd cards,cleaning kit, disposable rain cape and plastic bags,battery charger.
